Our Story

After a few years of brainstorming and strategic development, Bonafide Butcher was launched in 2023 by Jennifer and Samantha, a mother-daughter team who are dedicated to conducting their business with the utmost integrity. We strive to go above and beyond for our customers to deliver a product and service that you can ALWAYS trust and count on.
Our journey began out of frustration with the rising prices and often mediocre quality and longevity of beef, pork, poultry, and seafood being sold in most stores. Stories of “pink slime” and various other additives, in addition to limited regulations, haunted us. Our vision quickly became to deliver high-quality, healthy, minimally processed food at affordable prices. We recognize that maintaining a food budget has been a struggle for many households, especially throughout the past few years, so our hope is that our service helps create a sense of stability and affordability for our valued customers.
Since our business model is delivering food in bulk to consumers who pre-pay and pickup at pre-determined locations throughout the continental United States, we have lower overhead than the average grocery retailer. This allows us to sell high-quality, farm-fresh meat and sustainably sourced, wild-caught seafood quicker and cheaper, transferring our savings and freshness directly to the consumer. By purchasing in bulk, with less packaging and processing involved, our valued customers also help us create a more sustainable future. Our meat and poultry products, which are strategically stored to preserve quality and freshness, are typically delivered to the consumer the same day, or within 3 days, from when they are packaged at the meat processing facilities, compared to sometimes weeks or longer at average retailers.
